The Senior Leasing Professional will be responsible for creating and implementing merchandising plans to attract tenants to our shopping centers who will add value for both Phillips Edison & Company and the customer. This role will manage leasing for a portfolio of grocery anchored shopping centers in Northern California, Washington and Oregon and will manage transactions from inception through completion including site visits, LOI, lease negotiations and communications. Position will be located remotely with a home office set-up provided by the company. Regular travel to the assigned properties, markets and corporate office is expected.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Develop and execute the merchandising and leasing plan for assigned properties •Prospect and build relationships with local and national tenants •Prepare proposals •Negotiate and finalize leases in a timely fashion •Perform market due diligence including competition analysis and market survey in order to gain market familiarity and lease retail space •Attend local and national ICSC events. •Participate in weekly leasing team meetings •Work with internal partners in marketing and property management on event planning, e-blasts and other marketing collateral
Education / Experience Requirements:
•Bachelors or Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred. •Must have a valid brokers license •Minimum of 5 years of retail leasing experience •Must have excellent communication, sourcing and closing skills along with established contacts and relationships with retailers is required. •A substantial deal sheet showing a mix of local, regional, and national transaction experience is essential •Some overnight travel required.
